Premier Gas Deluxe 2.0 – Cobb®

The Cobb® Premier Gas Deluxe 2.0 Grill is a new, enlarged version of the beautiful and multi-functional Cobb BBQ which runs on gas rather than charcoal. All you need is a propane (or butane) gas canister. This provides the heat source for the Cobb's usual vast array of cooking methods including roasting, baking, grilling, griddling, frying and, of course, hot smoking. The unit has a roomy 45 cm. width and a cooking area of 30 cm. in diameter. It still has the same high quality stainless steel construction with a high grade stainless steel mesh base, designed to keep the cold out and wick away heat to ensure the sides and base don't get too hot during cooking, so the unit can be placed on any surface including your outdoor table. The Cobb has always been a hit with leisure sailors as its rubber non slip fit mean it will stay in place on deck.

- The Gas Cobb has the same healthy cooking credentials as the Cobb BBQ and is designed so that fat and oils drain from the food being cooked to the outer edge of the unit and then down into the Stainless Steel moat. At the same time these fats are diverted away from the gas flame preventing spitting and unnecessary cooking smoke. Remove or retain the lid for other cooking methods, so for baking or roasting, keep the dome on and for frying and grilling, remove it. The brushed stainless steel dome has 6 raised vents in the top and a solid, ergonic reinforced plastic handle which is 21cm wide and will not conduct the heat. The handle requires fitting. Two handles for removing the grill rack and griddle are also supplied.

- Despite it's larger size, the Gas Cobb is just as portable and can be used virtually anywhere outdoors. Although not primarily designed to smoke food, to hot smoke in the Cobb, we'd recommend using a foil pouch filled with wood chips and placing this on the flat part of the griddle, directly above the gas heat source. Your food will sit on the grill rack above and the domed lid should be put in position.
